Your guide to Air Hockey
Make Air Hockey your next activity in the game library. Score seven goals before the computer. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Read the objective before making your first input. Look at what changes after your first action.
Move your paddle against a computer opponent and score through the opposite goal.
A focus for your next round
Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use. Refer to the controls when needed.
What you need to achieve
Score seven goals before the computer. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. Follow this game’s rules rather than another version’s.
Making your moves
- Start.
- Move your mallet within the lower half.
- Strike toward the upper goal.
- Goals reset the puck.
Choosing and moving on screen
Mouse/touch movement or Left/Right controls. Use the control method described here for this activity. Make sure you are interacting with the game rather than the surrounding page.
Work through an example
An angled hit can bank off a side wall. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Take a moment to compare.
A useful caution
You cannot move into the computer’s half. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Keep the stated aim separate from side details such as animation or appearance. Progress is measured by the game’s own completion or scoring rules.
