An introduction to playing Scorpion Solitaire
Read the aim of Scorpion Solitaire, then make your first move. Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Look at what changes after your first action. Check the rule that explains your first action. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions.
Seven columns; three stock cards dealt once to the first three columns. Free solo play, no wagering.
Practice beyond the first move
After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again. Keep the objective visible.
What you need to achieve
Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. Take a moment to understand the current position.
Work through the instructions
- Move a face-up card with its tail onto the next higher same-suit rank. Kings fill empty columns.
- Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
- Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
How to use the controls
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. Use the visible help when you are unsure of the next input.
A useful example
The trailing cards may be unordered, but the destination suit and rank must match. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Keep the controls nearby.
A mistake to avoid
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Read the feedback to see why an action did not have the expected result. Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal.
